Yes, Valentine’s season is upon us, and whether you’re cheers-ing to love or celebrating singledom it’s the perfect occasion to indulge your sweet tooth with some delicious chocolate cocktails.
Mixing chocolate-based drinks is seductively easy thanks to hero ingredients like crème de cacao (a clear spirit made with cacao beans) and creamy chocolate liqueurs from brands such as Mozart, Godiva, and Bottega.
This list of Valentine’s cocktails includes simple recipes to elevate your date night drinks and is without doubt the most delicious way to get in the mood for love.
The Honeybee
Nothing says romance like a glass of bubbly, especially when it’s flavoured with ambrosian honey-infused liqueur and chocolatey bitters.
You will need:
- 25ml Drambuie Whisky Liqueur
- 3 dashes Ms Better’s Chocolate Bitters
- Bottega Gold Prosecco, to top
Method:
- Pour the Drambuie and Bitters into a champagne flute and gently stir
- Top up with Prosecco and serve
Chilli Chocolate Martini
Make your Valentine’s very very nice with a little bit of sugar and spice.
You will need:
- 30ml Pinnacle Habanero Vodka
- 30ml Godiva Dark Chocolate Liqueur, plus extra for garnish
- Demerara sugar, to garnish
- Chilli powder, to garnish
Method:
- In a dish, mix a small amount of demerara sugar and chilli powder
- Coat the rim of a martini glass in chocolate liqueur and dip into the chilli sugar
- Add the habanero vodka and chocolate liqueur to a shaker with ice and shake thoroughly
- Strain into the martini glass and serve
Raspberry Ripple
An ice cream dream that’s strictly for grown-ups, this white chocolate cocktail is fruity, flirty, and oh-so-sweet.
You will need:
- 15ml Dead Man’s Fingers Raspberry Rum
- 25ml Bottega Fior Di Latte Liqueur
- 25ml Chambord Black Raspberry Liqueur
- 25ml single cream
- 3 raspberries, to garnish
Method:
- Add all liquid ingredients to a cocktail shaker and hard shake to combine
- Fine strain into a coupe glass and garnish with three fresh raspberries

Sipsmith’s Orange & Cacao Gin is the ideal dessert-inspired spirit for creating decadent cocktails. Mix it with some white chocolate and cream and you’ve got the perfect Valentine’s remix on a Brandy Alexander.
You will need:
- 25ml Sipsmith Orange & Cacao Gin
- 25ml Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur
- 25ml single cream
- Grated nutmeg, to garnish
Method:
- Shake the gin, liqueur, and cream with ice and strain into a martini glass
- Grate a thin dusting of nutmeg over the top

You will need:
- 25ml Stolichnaya Salted Karamel Vodka

You will need:
- 25ml The Dubliner Irish Whiskey & Honeycomb Liqueur
- 25ml Gabriel Boudier Creme De Cacao Brun
- 2 dashes Ms Better’s Chocolate Bitters
- 1 dash Giffard Gomme Syrup
Method:
- Stir together the ingredients in a mixing glass and serve in a tumbler over a large ice ball

Steeped in the nostalgia of childhood sweethearts with a decadent combination of all things creamy, this retro Ice Cream Float makes for the ultimate Valentine’s dessert.
You will need:
- 50ml milk
- 50ml single cream
- 25ml Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur
- 25ml Bottega Gianduia Liqueur
- 1 scoop chocolate ice cream
- Chocolate flake, to garnish
Method:
- Add all liquid ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake thoroughly
- Strain into a milk shake glass and add a scoop of ice cream on top
- Garnish with a chocolate flake

- 25ml Spirited Union Coconut Rum

Method:
- Add all ingredients to a shaker and hard shake to combine
- Strain into a chilled martini glass

Make your kisses minty fresh with this sophisticated whiskey cocktail – the perfect balance between smooth bourbon, sweet chocolate, and mentholated coolness.
You will need:
- 15ml Buffalo Trace Kentucky Whiskey
- 35ml Gabriel Boudier Creme De Cacao Brun
- 8 mint leaves
- 10ml Giffard Gomme Syrup
Method:
- Muddle the mint leaves and sugar syrup in the base of a cocktail shaker
- Pour in the whiskey and crème de cacao and hard shake to combine
- Strain over crushed ice in a rocks glass and garnish with some sprigs of mint

You will need:
- 25ml Black Tears Spiced Rum
- 25ml Mozart White Chocolate Liqueur
- 25ml Cherry Heering Liqueur
- 25ml single cream
- 10ml Giffard Gomme Syrup
- 1 egg
Method:
- Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 30 seconds
- Fine strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a single maraschino cherry
Coco Colada
Your partner may not have whisked you away to a tropical island for Valentine’s, but at least you’ve got this delicious Chocolate Pina Colada to sip on.
You will need:
- 25ml Bottega Fior Di Latte Liqueur
- 25ml Aluna Coconut Rum
- 15ml Real Coco Puree
- 75ml Eager Pineapple Juice
Method:
- Hard shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice
- Fill a tall glass with crushed ice and pour the cocktail over
Toblerone Martini
If February 14th is a good excuse for anything, it’s making this gourmet cocktail overflowing with rum, amaretto, chocolate, honey, and cream.
You will need:
- 25ml Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum
- 15ml Luxardo Amaretto
- 25ml Mozart Milk Chocolate Liqueur
- 10ml honey syrup
- 15ml single cream
- 1 egg white/2 dashes Ms Better’s Miraculous Foamer Bitters
Method:
- To make honey syrup, gently heat 1 part honey to 2 parts water in a saucepan until the honey dissolves
- Leave the syrup to cool then store in an airtight container
- To make the cocktail, hard shake all ingredients together and strain into a chilled martini glass
