Glenfiddich, the World's Most Awarded Single Malt Whisky, extended its Experimental Series with the introduction of a single malt whisky called Glenfiddich Winter Storm. What makes this one really special is its unique aging process, making Glenfiddich 21 Year Old Winter Storm Experimental Whisky one of the rarer whiskies that has been aged for six months in French oak casks from the Peller Estate, an ice wine winery in Niagara, Canada.

The brainchild of Malt Master Brian Kinsman, he travelled to Canada to collaborate with Peller Estate winery, and that’s when the French oak ice wine barrels caught his eye. He went back to Dufftown, the malt whisky capital of the world, and selected a 21-year-old rare whisky that could cope with the extra ice wine intensity. The result? A unique combination that has the warming soul of whisky and the frozen cold of ice wine.

This special batch of Winter Storm has Glenfiddich’s signature notes of candied sweets, oak, flavours of tropical fruit and wine. There are subtle fresh lychee notes, melding seamlessly with the tannins that have been extracted from years in oak. Presented in a white ceramic bottle in an embossed presentation box, Glenfiddich 21 Year Old Winter Storm Experimental Whisky is rare, experimental and limited edition.

Perfect Serve - To fully absorb the nuances of this malt, savour this neat. First sip it without chaser interference, and then add water and ice if you like. Red meat like Spice-Rubbed Pork pairs wonderfully with the apple and pear notes of this whisky. As does a decadent fresh fruit tart or dessert.
