Produced in the Miyagikyo distillery in North Japan using local ingredients, Nikka Coffey Grain is a delicate and mellow dram with unusual tropical notes.

Nikka Whisky was founded in 1940 by the father of Japanese whisky production, Masataka Taketsuru, who built his knowledge of whisky production while working in distilleries across Scotland.

Nikka Coffey is named after the Coffey Still, imported to Japan from Scotland by Taketsuru, who believed Japan could produce whisky as fine as Scotland’s, with its own unique twists on flavour and production.

Coffey stills are known for yielding a flavour with more depth and complexity than a modern still, and the proof is in the sip.
