Laphroaig has followed the same recipe for 75 years – malted barley is cold-smoked and dried over an Islay peat fire. This unique ingredient gives Laphroaig a taste which can’t be created anywhere else. This is rich in peat from nose to its long finish, alongside notes of seaweed, liquorice and sea salt with a hint of sweetness.
