On the nose it offers up hints of vanilla, a touch of tar, barbecue sauce, and a smattering of citrus. Its smoky palate is enhanced with a creamy sweetness, balanced out by salted butter, with notes of malt, cereal and custard leading to a powerful, long, and warming finish.
Perfect serve – Make a Whisky Godfather. Fill a mixing glass with ice, and add 45ml Johnnie Walker Double Black Whisky and 15ml amaretto. Stir well and strain into a tumbler over one large ice cube or an ice ball. Garnish with a brandied cherry and orange peel.
