Winner of Gold – Belgian Beer at the World Beer Cup 2016
Hoegaarden Beer is the epitome of a white Belgian beer. A fine blend of traditional grains merge with the infusion of orange peel and coriander to create that has been deemed the world’s first ever white beer.
Winner of Gold – Belgian Beer at the World Beer Cup 2016
First brewed in 1445 by a group of monks, Hoegaarden is named after the Belgian town is was invented in and is considered the first white Belgian beer ever.
This hailed favourite is made using malted barley, unmalted wheat and hops. Fermented twice but not filtered, extracts of Curaçao orange peel and coriander are added to create a distinct flavour. Citrusy aromatic with a refreshing herby yet bittersweet taste, this creation is light-bodied and well-balanced.
Its cloudy and pale appearance gives it distinct character, with a light, foamy and soft feel on the palate.
Also available as in individual bottle.
Perfect Serve: Best enjoyed chilled with a wedge of lime.
