A famously fruity red wine, Boekenhoutskloof’s Chocolate Block wine is a blend of syrah grapes, cabernet sauvignon, cinsault, and a splash of viognier grapes, the combination gushing with the flavours of dark berries, violets and cocoa.
This mid-palate is focused, lithe and elegant, with earthy layers revealing liquorice, graphite and sweet tobacco, giving this wine its sophisticated smoky feel.
This wine is rich and intense, with subtle spicy undertones of cardamom and cloves. The finish is clean, dry, peppery, and lingers like a fine perfume.
