In 1870, founders Charles de Pesters & Johannes van Marwijk Kooij felt as though the beers available in Amsterdam were not up to a good standard, and thus Amstel was born. Named after the River Amstel, the brewery uses the water from the river to make the beer, so you can get a taste of Amsterdam with every sip. The logo is inspired by billiard balls, a game which the founders bonded and formed a friendship over. A premium lager that’s filled with botanical hop flavours and an infusion of citrus and honey malt to amalgamate to a crisp flavour.
