Story
An essential for all rum lovers, the story begins in 1825 when founder John Wray started creating his rums at the Shakespeare Tavern. Soon, with the immense success of making a fine white rum, John employed his own nephew Charles Ward and here, “Wray & Nephew” was born.
Just as loved and iconic then as it is now. Charles carried on the legacy of his uncle by turning Wray & Nephew into one of Jamaica’s and the world’s most loved rums. Stronger than other variations of rum, their Overproof Rum became a household item in Caribbean festivities.
