90/100 - Wine Spectator Widely considered to be New Zealand’s best Pinot Noir, Babich’s organic blend is a perfect bottle for a cosy dinner with friends. Babich’s family-run vineyard has been making wine for over 103 years. This fruity Pinot Noir won its first gold medal award in the early 1980s and continues to be one of New Zealand’s most acclaimed bottles. This mellow sip’s flavour profile is packed with plum, black cherry, spice and a touch of smoke. Babich’s Pinot Noir is made from grapes harvested at full phenolic maturity to ensure sugar residues are low for a mellow sip. These are then fermented in open vats and refined in a mixture of old and new barriques for a variety of flavour. The result is a dense, satisfying and fantastic value Pinot Noir. Perfect Pairing - Pair this full-bodied wine with a hearty steak and mushroom pie.
