Boekenhoutskloof’s 2017 Syrah is sourced from two vineyards in the Swartland area of South Africa —Porseleinberg and Goldmine. The grapes from each side have distinctive characteristics, resulting in a richly unique, mature and full-bodied wine. The entry is earthy, with the warm spice of cloves, cardamom and sweet tobacco, with an elegant well-structured mid-palate that creates exceptional balance, and on the nose you’ll get the aromas of mulberry, dark plums, blackberry, and intense notes of violets and liquorice.
