Maker's Mark Bourbon

story

Story

The journey of Maker’s Mark began in Kentucky, USA in 1953 and what followed next was a revolution in the drinks industry.

After losing his family’s 170-year-old bourbon recipe in a fire, Bill Samuels and his wife Margie set out to revive the family heirloom, by making a bourbon just as special as the original recipe and thus, Maker’s Mark was born.

We stock the original Maker’s Mark Bourbon Whisky and the limited-edition Maker’s Mark 46 Kentucky Bourbon Whisky, available to buy online at VIP Bottles.

Just like artists who sign off their work with a “Makers Mark”, each bottle of this bourbon is closed with a red wax seal and embossed with “SIV”. The S stands for Samuels and the IV to signify the number four in roman numerals, as Bill was a fourth-generation distiller.
